The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) won the Gold Award at the 2021 Financial Reporting (FiRe) Awards. NSSF beat 87 organisations who submitted their annual reports for evaluation. According to the Chairman of the Financial Reporting Awards Committee, the NSSF report was highly interactive, as it was easy to navigate and the information was interlinked.
The Public Accountants Examinations Board (PAEB) of the Institute of certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) has announced an improvement in the pass rates for the October 2021 examinations of the Accounting Technicians Diploma (ATD), Certified Tax Advisor (CTA) and the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) courses.
The 2021 Accountancy Service Awards (ASA) will honour finance teams and accountants that have made remarkable contributions towards assisting their organisations, clients and communities to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and stay afloat.

The Stamps Duty (amendment) Act 2020 amended Schedule 2 of the Stamps Duty Act, 2014; by imposing a duty of UGX 100,000 on payment of a professional license or certificate by every professional offering professional services.
