ASSESSING ORGANISATIONAL RESPONSES TO COVID-19

ICPAU's survey reveals sentiments among Certified Public Accountants about the impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus), and how their organizations plan to respond. The survey findings indicate that organizations are concerned over the impact of COVID-19 on their revenues and cash flows.

The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) has today donated 38,500,000 Shillings to the National COVID Task force at the office of the Prime Minister.

The handover of the cheque was done by CPA Frederick Kibbedi, President of ICPAU, CPA Derick Nkajja the Chief Executive, and ICPAU members, CPA Gloria Wakooba and CPA Gervase Ndyanabo of Vision Group.

According to the Bank of Uganda Monetary Policy Statement issued for April 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a severe contraction in economic activity due to a combination of global supply chain disruptions

The Public Accountants Examinations Board (PAEB), the examining Body of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) has postponed the May 2020 examinations for the Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (CPA-U) course, Accounting Technicians Diploma (ATD) and the Certified Tax Advisor (CTA) course.
