The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) has introduced the Unique Humanitarian Award, at the 2022 Accountancy Service Awards (ASA). The Award is aimed at recognising individuals who have impacted the community in the areas of humanitarian relief and assistance, human development, refugee assistance, civil society, equitable economic development, health, environment, education, population or public policy. Among other criteria, the nominee must demonstrate an innovative approach to humanitarian service.
The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) will hold the 10th CPA Economic Forum from 20 – 22 July 2022. At the Forum, accountants will discuss a responsive economic development agenda.
The theme encompasses discussions around economic development strategies that address the most pressing needs of society in a timely manner.
The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) will hold the 27th Annual Seminar of accountants from 31 August to 2 September 2022 at the Imperial Resort Beach Hotel, Entebbe, and online.
The theme for the Seminar is Resilience in a Dynamic Environment.

The Public Accountants Examinations Board (PAEB) of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) has released the results of the March 2022 Certified Public Accountants (CPA) examinations.
The examinations were conducted from 14 –18 March 2022, at the Kampala centre. There were 2,890 candidates.
The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) has published the list of licensed accounting firms and practising accountants as at 15 March 2022. There are 415 practising accountants and 260 accounting firms licensed to offer accounting services in Uganda, as of 15 March 2022.
The Public Accountants Examinations Board (PAEB) on 19 January 2022 released results for the December 2021 examinations of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU).
The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) won the Gold Award at the 2021 Financial Reporting (FiRe) Awards. NSSF beat 87 organisations who submitted their annual reports for evaluation. According to the Chairman of the Financial Reporting Awards Committee, the NSSF report was highly interactive, as it was easy to navigate and the information was interlinked.
