CPA Dr. Albert is a full member of ICPAU since 1997.

Having served on three Committees of the Council of ICPAU and boards of several organisations, and also missed out on the previous Council elections his greatest ambition and motivation is to try again and participate in the forthcoming elections in which he foresees success.

Albert is passionate about growing accounting firms especially the Small and Medium Practices (SMPs).  He wants to ensure exponential growth of ICPAU membership by at least 20% per annum.

Having served as a member on several boards and also being at ICPAU as a Committee member for a number of years, Albert believes he has acquired enough experience which can enable him actively serve on the ICPAU Council.  He is currently serving as a member of Finance, Planning and Administration Committee.  Previously, he served on the Education & Research Committee from 2018-2022 and Technical (now Professional Standards) Committee from 2016-2018.

Over the years, Albert has written on various topical articles in Today’s Accountant magazine.  He has also mentored a handful of young professional accountants at J. Samuel Richards & Associates where he serves as a Partner, since 2013 to date.

Before joining as Senior Manager at Standard Bank, South Africa in 2012, he was the Finance Manager and also headed the Audit department at Stanbic Bank Uganda from 2002-2012.  He also worked as Audit Manager at KPMG Uganda and PricewaterhouseCoopers Uganda.

Albert holds a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration from the Swiss School of Management, Masters in Business Administration from the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI) in Arusha, Tanzania and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Makerere University.
