COMMUNICATION NO.4 IN TIMES OF COVID-19
1.0 INTRODUCATION
When we last communicated to you in our circular dated 1 April, 2020, the directives on the lockdown were up 14 April 2020. As you are aware, the national lockdown was extended for 21 days to 5 May 2020. No one is sure of what will happen. It is our earnest hope that you are staying safe at home.
2 NUMBER OF EXAMINATIONS DIETS
The Public Accountants Examinations Board has carefully considered the prevailing situation and noted that it will not be tenable to have 3 Examinations diets this year. Assuming that the situation normalises, PAEB hopes to conduct only two examinations diets for the remaining period of 2020.
You are advised to take this into account as you plan to sit for PAEB examinations in the year 2020.
3. MAY 2020 EXAMINATIONS
As per the last communication dated 1 April 2020, the examinations scheduled for 25-29 May 2020 are no longer feasible and they were postponed. A new date will be communicated, once there is lifting of the directives that have an impact on holding examinations.
4. REGISTRATION FOR EXAMINATIONS
Considering the difficulties that some students may be experiencing during this period, the registration for examinations for the first diet has been extended to 24 May 2020.
Stay home, stay safe. Don’t relax, continue preparing for examinations.
