Dear Student,
RE: COMMUNICATION NO.5 IN TIMES OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC
1.0 INTRODUCATION
We hope you are all safe and observing the guidelines issued by Government on
COVID-19 pandemic.
As you are aware, the Presidential address of Monday, 1 June 2020 postponed the
opening of educational institutions for another month and partially opened public
transport. The private vehicles were already moving but limited to three people.
In view of the above, we would like to provide some updates on ICPAU
examinations.
2.0 DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION FOR EXAMINATIONS
The Public Accountants Examinations Board (PAEB) has extended the registration
for examinations to 30 June 2020, with a possibility of no further extension.
3.0 EXAMINATIONS DATES
The examinations dates for this year will depend on the guidance issued by
Government in due course. For now, as earlier guided there will be two
examinations sittings this year and not three.
If educational institutions are allowed to open in July 2020, the first examinations
sitting will then be in August 2020, specific dates to be given when clear guidelines
for educational institution are available.
4.0 PREPARING FOR EXAMINATIONS
We wish to encourage you to continue preparing for examinations. These days,
most meetings and trainings are taking place online. If you get an opportunity for
online learning, we encourage you to embrace it.
