The fourth estate plays the vital role of continuously providing truthful, accurate and objective information to the public. Sometimes, the information that media ppractitioners interface with is new, technical and complex.
ICPAU is providing an opportunity to media practitioners to improve their understanding and interpretation of financial reports, so that they can in turn relay financial information in a simplified and accurate manner for the audiences.
This workshop is designed to provide basic knowledge of accounting and finance for media practitioners by demystifying financial reports and explaining them to the audiences.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of thewebinar, participants should be able to:
- Read and interpret financial reports.
- Identify and extract the salient issues from financial reports for use by media houses.
