Impact of COVID -19 on Public Financial Management and Reporting Webinar

Overview:

The rapidly evolving pandemic calls for extraordinary measures to safe guard lives, health and livelihoods. The requirements for accountability and transparency have to be modified during emergency situations, but should not be done away with. Public Financial Management (PFM) systems need to be responsive and flexible, while ensuring value for money and minimizing fraud and corruption.

Objectives:

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

• • Identify adequate PFM systems which can be accommodated during the crisis.
  • Advise on reallocation of existing resources.
  • Identify and apply key reportable areas.
  • Prepare appropriate timely financial reports.
