OVERVIEW
This is the second year of IFRS 9 Implementation.
Some institutions are yet to fully grasp the impact of IFRS 9 and fully transition to a post implementation environment. Institutions continue to grapple with operational challenges of incorporating IFRS 9 requirements into their respective processes and acclimatise to the new credit loss model.
Participants will get insights on post implementation issues and challenges and discuss case studies on practical application of the standard, regulatory alignment/stress testing as well as insights on modeling and validation. They will also be helped to understand on “what was” and “what will be” in the world of accounting for financial instruments.
