The COVID-19 pandemic and its effects have been significant in the world of work. Particularly for employees and employers, there has been a lot of anxiety which has led to psychological distress. The Federation of Uganda Employers has designed a number of employee wellness initiatives that employers can explore to enable them to keep their employees afloat during these hard times.

As you all may be aware, today 28th April, is a day set aside as The World Day for Safety and Health at Work. I will therefore, say something about it in the course of this address.  

The COVID-19 pandemic is having serious effects on the health and general welfare of people across the world. Besides being a health challenge of unrivalled proportions, COVID-19 is having knock-on effects of far reaching proportions on all national economies; big and small, without exception.

ICPAU Donates 38,500,000 shillings to National COVID Response Fund

PRESS RELEASE

4 May 2020

The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) has today donated 38,500,000 Shillings to the National COVID Task force at the office of the Prime Minister.

The handover of the cheque was done by CPA Frederick Kibbedi, President of ICPAU, CPA Derick Nkajja the Chief Executive, and ICPAU members, CPA Gloria Wakooba and CPA Gervase Ndyanabo of Vision Group.
