Background
In September 2011, the East African Community Institutes of Accountants (EACIAs) signed a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA).
With the signing of the MRA, the Council of ICPAU exercised their mandate (Sec 5 (3) ) determined that all Professional Accountancy Qualifications obtained outside EAC will be referred to as FAQs and would be required to sit some examinations for them to enrol as members of the institute.
There are holders of FAQ in Uganda who missed the opportunity to apply for ICPAU membership in the moratorium window of 2011- 2013. Council is cognizant of those FAQ holders who are unable to go through the normal examinations system to become members.
ICPAU put a masterclass for FAQ holders to simplify the route to become members.
Council has organised yet another masterclass in 2025 as the last masterclass for those who failed to attend the 2024 edition.

Who Qualifies for the Masterclass?
The masterclass will be offered to holders of FAQ who completed their FAQ studies by the end of 2013/ before the start of the year 2014.
