29TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

PRESIDENT REPORT OF THE TERM OF 2021-2023 COUNCIL

1. BACKGROUND

The term of office of the 2021-2023 Council began in July 2021 after a High Court ruling determined that the Elections Committee had successfully concluded the 2020 elections during the 26th Annual General Meeting of the Institute, in accordance with the provisions of the Accountants Act, 2013, and therefore, the new Council was lawfully in place to transact the business of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU).

Overview:
Internal Audit continues to play a key role in organisational sustainability through supporting organisational strategy and transformation.

CPD Hours:
Participants will be awarded 3 hours of CPD upon full time attendance.

Fees & Registration
Attendance is free for all

Overview:
Insolvency is the most flexible learning programme for insolvency professionals. It is equally beneficial for experienced and inexperienced professionals and suitable for finance, legal, and other professionals.

CPD Hours:
Participants will be awarded 3 hours of CPD upon full time attendance, both days inclusive.

Fees
Members & Students without arrears: UGX 50,000
Non-Members & Members with arrears: UGX 60,000

Overview
Blockchain is the most significant innovation in accounting technology since the invention of double-entry bookkeeping. The webinar will share knowledge to participants to embrace the technology revolution in the making.

The Public Accountants Examinations Board (PAEB) of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) on 26 June 2023 released the results of the May 2023 examinations. 

The Institute of Certified Public Accountants Uganda (ICPAU) in partnership with the Capital Markets Authority (CMA), the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) and the New Vision has announced the 13^th edition of the Financial Reporting (FiRe) Awards.
